Daily Happiness Tip – Being Thankful

Be thankful for what you have & you will end up having MORE. If you concentrate on what you don’t have & you will never have enough. So even in the darkest of days, I challenge you to find 1 thing that you feel thankful for. Do this daily to keep yourself grounded, full of faith, positive thoughts & to free yourself from any struggles that you’re facing.

Today I’m thankful that the sun is out & shining light on my day, it instantly makes me feel happier when it’s brighter outside 🙂

It’s Monday again, which means a fresh new start to your week!

Here are some tips for making your Monday a little less blue. Lets do this!

1. This is your perfect chance to correct any mistakes you made in the previous week! Make a list of everything that you want to accomplish by next Monday to keep yourself motivated & see how many things you can tick off your list during the week 🙂

2. Organise something exciting to do on your day(s) off – The week is always easier to get through if you know what’s waiting for you when the weekend shows its pretty little face!

3. Realise that before you know it, the weekend will be here! *Flash back to last weeks Friday dance*

Mistakes

To get anywhere in life, you have to be prepared to make mistakes. Ask anybody who has gone far in their life if they have ever made a mistake. If they say no, quite frankly, they are lying to you. Everybody makes mistakes, it’s ok!

You will learn your greatest lessons from your worst mistakes.

Pick yourself up, have faith in yourself & try again, you WILL get there! 🙂

Who You Are

Nobody in the whole world is made exactly like you.

Be proud of who you are 🙂 ! Don’t waste any energy on wishing you were somebody else, overlooking how special YOU truly are.

Your “flaws” are what make you stand out in the crowd, they are what make you  so incredibly beautiful.

In time, I hope you can see just how special you are, as special as you are to me.

5 Simple Steps To Happiness

1. Begin each day with a grateful heart for the things that you have in your life. You might just discover how blessed you truly are once you have taken the time to sit down & focus on the positives 🙂

2. Be yourself. In the words of Oscar Wilde – “Be yourself, everybody else is already taken”

3. Set aside some “me” time to do something that makes you happy. Sometimes we get distracted with everything that we are doing for everybody else & this makes it all too easy to forget about ourselves. We need that time to relax & re-evaluate.

4. Do something kind for somebody else. Happiness is infectious!

5. Smile! It really does help change your mood 🙂

4 Simple Things

As we are coming into the colder months now I thought I would share 4 simple things that I love to do in the colder months that cheer me up & might cheer you up too 🙂

1. Hot Chocolate Dates – Take a friend, family member, whoever you like and go along to Costa (or wherever sells your favorite drink or food) for a nice lunch or drink “date”. Time is best spent with those you love & even if you just take an hour out of your day to go and grab a nice warm drink, it gives you the chance to sit down, relax for a while and catch up on anything you may have missed! OR. It can be just as nice to cuddle up at home with a drink in your favourite mug if you don’t feel like venturing out 🙂

2. Winter Walks – Put on your warmest clothes & go out for a refreshing walk to clear your head. Somewhere with beautiful scenery & take your dog along if you have one.

In the UK, we have to wear at LEAST 20 layers to go outside…

and that is in summer! Just kidding, it’s not that bad 😉 .

3. Cosy Nights In – Cuddle up on the sofa with a blanket & watch some of your favourite films. It’s only October & I already want to watch “Elf” !

4. Christmas Shopping! – I know it’s early yet so this will be later in the year & sometimes it can be quite stressful but, for me there is something magical about shopping at Christmas. It can be easier to do some of it online now but I still take some time to travel to somewhere so I get to experience the beautiful twinkling lights, the shops and shopping centres expertly decorated, the festive treats..I could go on and on.

Although, there has been times when it feels more like this:
