Christmas time is well & truly here now & the bah humbugs of our communities can’t deny it any longer – hehe!
This time next week it will be Christmas Eve & children all over the world will be eagerly waiting for the day to end so that they can climb into their beds & lie there with their tired but hope filled eyes, hoping to hear a jingle from Santas reindeer on the roof.
I love this time of year. The festive spirit, the families & friends coming together, the smell of the delicious food being prepared on Christmas day! The children laughing & playing, the joy on their faces when they receive a gift that they had been wishing for for so long!
Snow (if we are lucky enough to get it) covering everything in sight, making it look like we live inside a giant snow globe. That moment when you come in from the freezing cold outside to a comforting mug of hot chocolate. Cozy jumpers. The decorations people put outside for everybody to enjoy as they go past their houses or the shopping centers decorated so beautifully. The peppermint candy canes! The way everything sparkles in the light. Paw prints in the snow. Candles…I could go on forever!
I can’t wait to spend some time with the people that I love on the most magical holiday of the year, I just wish it lasted longer because it will be 2014 before we know it!
It doesn’t matter who you are, sometimes the only cure for how you’re feeling is a hug/cuddle/squeeze (or whatever else you may call it haha) with somebody that you love. It could be a friend, family member, your partner or even your pet. But that hug will mean the world to you when you truly need it & it will warm your heart if even just for a second. Where words fail, hugs are there to help you say how you’re feeling but without moving your lips.
“You can’t wrap love in a box, but you can wrap a person in a hug”
There is only one thing left for me to do…
To those who need it today, put your right hand on your left shoulder, your left hand on your right shoulder….now squeeze! There’s a hug from me to you :).
Keep smiling & go give somebody you love a gigantic hug!
It’s that time of year again – Where does the time go?!
The festive season is here & they will be showing the magical Christmas themed films on TV very soon. One of my favourites has inspired this post today…
Will Ferrell is a brilliant actor, he is hilarious! – In my opinion of course 🙂
If you have 5 minutes to spare, watch this clip of a few funny moments from the film, it’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
If you have never seen the film before then watch it this year 🙂 , I personally think that its great for both adults & children & remember, the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear 😉
Keep smiling, keep dreaming & enjoy the festive season…it will be over before you know it!
